Kjartan teaches students that mathematics can be just magical
A BEST-SELLING author has morphed magic into mathematics at a city school.
Kjartan Poskitt entertained year seven and eight students at Stoke Damerel Community College with his Mathemagical Show.
The former stand-up comic-turned-writer of the popular Murderous Maths series of books used magical tricks to encourage pupils that "maths isn't a boring subject but can be magical," he said.
Lesley Wrennall, leading literacy, reading and learning at Stoke Damerel, said: "This was a wonderful opportunity for our year seven and eight students to get a whole new and fun-packed perspective on maths from a really great entertainer."
