Lane of A38 closed in Plymouth after accident
RUSH hour traffic queues built up on the A38 this morning after two cars were in collision on their way into Plymouth.
The cars collided on the in-bound carriageway, near the landmark “Plymouth – Spirit of Discovery” sign at Deep Lane, Plympton.
No one was hurt in the crash, which happened at 8.47am, but an ambulance crew attended, along with police and fire teams.
One of the cars involved, a Plymouth-registered silver Honda Accord ended up in the central reservation.
The other, a Plymouth-registered red Vauxhall Zafira, was badly damaged and seen by witnesses parked at the side of the road.
Police were this morning piecing together what happened, and trying to ascertain whether the Zafira may have left the road and hit a tree.
The lane nearest the central reservation was closed and this was causing some traffic build up.
