Large amount of rubbish on fire outside recycling centre
FIREFIGHTERS were sent to tackle a large blaze in a waste tip in Tavistock early on Sunday morning.
Crews were sent to Crowndale Road, Tavistock, just after 7am.

Two appliances from Tavistock were mobilised to a report of a large amount of rubbish on fire in front of a building at a refuse tip just outside Tavistock.
The crews requested the attendance of the water bowser from Plympton and then also a third pumping appliance from Yelverton.

There is a large area of refuse on fire in front of the recycling centre.
Two main jets and four breathing apparatus are in use and a water relay has been set up from a hydrant in Plymouth Road.
