Learn IT, literacy and how to cook
A TRAINING centre is offering free courses for people wanting to brush up on their computer, literacy and cookery skills.
Oasis Training, which is based in Stonehouse, is hosting an ICT course for complete beginners and intermediate level including using the internet, Microsoft Office programs and digital imagery.
Other courses include adult English qualifications and creative writing.
Cookery, which includes creating healthy meals on a budget, can lead to achieving an official food safety qualification.

Also available at The Crown Centre, in Manor Street, is a job club held every Friday between 1pm and 4pm.
This is open to anyone hoping to gain employment, with help on offer to create distinctive CVs, an email account to apply for jobs online and guidance with interviews.
Every Monday the centre stages a 'Musical Mash-Up' for budding musicians.
It also runs a monthly book, among other events.
