Leeds move match
RUGBY: Leeds Carnegie have moved their home British & Irish Cup match against Leinster on January 19 from Headingley to South Leeds Stadium.
It follows last Sunday's game against Plymouth Albion where the Championship fixture had to go to uncontested scrums after just 15 minutes as their new pitch was cutting up so badly.
Leeds chief executive Gary Hetherington said: "We have looked to act quickly to give fans of both teams as much notice as possible of this change, plus we have kept the game in Leeds.
"We are confident that by moving the Leinster game it will give us the necessary time to get the pitch (at Headingley) right for the clash with Newcastle on February 10."

“Great! so Albion were mere guinea pigs. Sure to make Nat even crosser. So, if the pitch is not fit for purpose now, surely it wasn't last Sunday either. Match should be replayed.”
