Liberal values betrayed

AT election time the Liberal Democrats profess liberal values – but, revealingly, when in the European Union they betray liberal values.

At a sitting of the European Parliament the Liberal Democrat chair, Diana Wallis MEP, had me thrown out of the debating chamber for making an entirely valid political comment.

More seriously, two South West constituents were carted off from their homes to prison in Budapest, with no evidence of guilt or innocence being heard here, under the European Arrest Warrant that is championed by South West Liberal Democrat MEP Graham Watson.

Such is the Liberal Democrats' fanaticism for a European Union superstate.

“Suggest you check the number of Conservatives MEP's who supported the EAW as well as the infamous Graham Watson MEP. :-(

Just how many Comservative MP's have signed the Better Off Out (BOO) (of the EU) cross-party campaign? :-(

Something to do with Cameron's commitment to the EU has discouraged them (and that Charles is a statement of fact not a question) ;-(”

“arrrh, seeing the light are we Charles :-)

Now about those 'certain powers' that David Cameron is going to 'repatriate' back to the UK from the EU. What's he going to use in the negotiations? More taxpayers money. Remember it is 26 to 1.

Cameron has already changed his policy on Regional Assemblies. He must have, at last, read the Maaestritch Treaty.

    Conservative lambs to the slaughter.”

“:| Now the full implications of the Lib-Dem fanaticism for the European Superstate is coming home to roost.

Habeas corpus is now denied to all British citizens. . Foreigners can now just come and cart you off to another country. . Thankyou Gordon Brown. . And if Graham Watson thinks he's heard the last of all this then he is sadly mistaken. . Out of all the European Union fanatics in the UK, I think he is the most overbearing and unpleasant. . He even makes Hilary Benn seem like your favourite uncle.”
