GUY MADJO became the fourth different player to score from the penalty spot for Argyle this season in the victory over Rochdale.

The on-loan Aldershot Town striker got his chance because Rhys Griffiths was sidelined by a groin injury.

Griffiths had taken the Pilgrims' previous two penalties, when on both occasions he had got to the ball before Madjo.

On Saturday, however, Madjo was clearly determined no-one else would take the responsibility.

Left-back Robbie Williams and striker Warren Feeney converted successful spot kicks earlier this term, but neither played against Rochdale.

Madjo equalled the feat of Feeney, from the 3-2 win at Morecambe in September, by scoring two spot kicks in the same game.

He has now netted three times in six starts and three substitute appearances for Argyle.

Fletcher said: "I was pleased for Guy to get the two goals. He stuck them away well. He didn't have to fight off Rhys."
