A PLYMOUTH woman was found safe and well at 3.25am this morning after a major search operation was carried out through the night.

Zoe Ann Webber, 25, from Plympton, was last seen in the Biggin Hill area of Ernesettle at around 11.30am on Saturday morning, and failed to turn up for work.

Dozens of police officers were sent to search Budshead Woods, close to the area she was last spotted.

Police issued an urgent appeal for information about her whereabouts.

Dozens of patrol officers from Crownhill were joined by police dog handlers, a section of the tactical aid group and the Dartmoor Rescue Group in the search.

Residents of Whitleigh, West Park, Honicknowle and Ernesettle were urged to check gardens, outbuildings and any wooded areas.

Police today said Zoe was found safe and well at 3.25am.

Police said she was in an extremely confused state and had spent Friday night sleeping outdoors, and possibly had blood on her hands.

A police spokesman said she was uninjured, and had been left in the care of medical professionals.

Alan Mobbs said: “We’re extremely pleased that we had the call from the member of the public which led to Zoe being found. We’re also grateful for the appeals in the media which greatly assisted our searches for her.

“It’s always very satisfying when someone has gone missing is found and the efforts everyone’s put in mean they’re found safe and well.”

“Well done Julie, you have proved that there is poeple in our community who are willing to go that extra mile and help someone else.
Well Boris it does seem that your opinion is quite solitary, seemingly uncaring with a real hint on anger management problems. Yes a psychologist would have a field day here!!!”
