MUSICALLY minded people in Plymouth are in for a treat when a hit movie is shown on the Big Screen this weekend.

Hollywood blockbuster Mamma Mia will be broadcast into the City Centre Piazza from 3pm on Sunday August 9.

Organisers are hoping to attract big crowds to sing-a-long with all the Abba hits during the movie premiere, which stars Meryl Streep.

And staff at House of Fraser will also be joining in with the free event by dressing up in 1970s Abba inspired outfits.

David Draffan, managing director of Plymouth City Centre Company, said: "The entertainment programme on the Big Screen has been, and continues to be a major highlight of the Plymouth Summer Festival.

"We're expecting a large number of visitors for Mamma Mia on Sunday evening and are sure there will be a great atmosphere on the Piazza with everyone having a good time at this free event."
