Mammoth pizza order for Hungry sailors stopping over in Plymouth
HUNGRY sailors have beaten the marines for the largest pizza order from a city takeaway.
The crew of HMS Westminster, who made a stop-off in Plymouth, ordered 110 pizzas from Papa Johns.
The mammoth order would ordinarily cost £1,952.36 but the cost was halved to £918.18 by the pizzeria. Manager Bob Singh said he had to double staff numbers to 30 just to cope with the request.
He said: "We had an order for 60 pizzas for the Marine camp but the Navy camp have got wind that we can do it and ordered almost double."

“Many local Plymouth pubs, including the Fortesque (Mutley Plain), allow fast food ordered to be taken on premises to be enjoyed with a pint, and I understand Oliver Colvile has been know to drink there, although no update as yet to as whether he ate pasty or pie.”

“Wouldn't have wanted to have the task of sorting them out when they were delivered! "Right who ordered Hawaiian, with extra cheese?" "Meat feast with jalapeños?" Lol :)”

“You'll find that the half price thing isn't anything new. Domino's / papa johns ect all do half price pizzas on certain days i.e two for Tuesday, and if you go online you'll find tons of money off offers from both companies.”
