Man, 40, accused of series of motoring offences
A MAN was to appear before magistrates today charged with a string of offences.
Stephen Kearney, 40, from Plymouth was arrested on Tuesday evening following a number of incidents which began with the alleged theft of a black Volkswagen Golf cabriolet from the Whitleigh area. At around 4pm on Tuesday the car was involved in a road traffic collision in Budshead Road where another vehicle suffered damage to its rear.
Two more vehicles were damage in a similar manner in the area of Fort Austin Avenue and Church hill shortly afterwards. The car was eventually found abandoned near Deer Park. Kearney was charged last night with aggravated taking without consent, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving with excess alcohol and theft.
