Man in 60s stabbed in stomach suffering serious injuries
A MAN in his 60s was stabbed in the stomach suffering serious injuries after an altercation with two men.
Police say the man was attacked overnight on Monday or early on Tuesday morning in Torpoint.

Officers were called to an address in Cremyll Road, Torpoint just after 10am on Tuesday, July 3, after reports of an earlier altercation.
A man in his sixties suffered a serious, but non-life threatening, stab wound to his stomach was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment.

Officers are investigating reports he was involved in an altercation with two men.
The incident is thought to have taken place sometime between 9pm on Monday July 2 and 10.30am on Tuesday 3th July.
Police are asking anyone who heard or saw a disturbance in the area to call police on 101 quoting police reference BT/12/395.

The timings are all a bit odd - the incident happened between 9pm Monday and 1030am Tuesday.
Police attended 10am Tuesday.

“As a stab wound almost anywhere on the body can be fatal I would like the spineless CPS treat every stabbing charge as attempted murder and for the courts to give a sentence reflecting that. It might deter a few from trying it on and even if only one life is saved it will be worth it. Knife crime, whatever the statistics say, is getting out of hand.”
