POLICE have rebailed a 64-year-old man in connection with an investigation into a copy of a Robert Lenkiewicz painting.

The artwork came to the police's attention following a complaint from the owner of the original work. Police say they are looking for anyone who may have purchased an identical print or picture, or seen it offered for sale or been offered it directly at any stage since late 2005.

A police spokesman said: "We want to hear from anyone who has been offered, or even bought the picture."

Police say the 64-year-old, from Whitleigh, was arrested on suspicion of fraud and has been rebailed until May 25.
