A MAN has gone in front of a judge to admit a serious assault.

Steven Westmore, aged 20, pleaded guilty at Plymouth Crown Court to assaulting a man causing actual bodily harm between November 17 and 20 last year.

He also admitted common assault against a second man during the same dates.

Judge Paul Darlow ordered a probation officer to prepare a report on his background.

He was released on bail until he is sentenced on September 21.

“The charging standards for ABH have been recently changed by the CPS, so that you must now commit GBH injuries to be charged with ABH, that way the court can let you off with a community order or a suspended sentence. British justice, all about cost and not justice.”
