POLICE are keen to hear from anyone who may know the man shown in this series of CCTV images taken outside a community centre.

It is hoped he can assist them with their inquiries regarding a number of incidents outside the Stonehouse community centre in Kings Road, Devonport.

On March 1, sometime between 1am and 2am, a silver Ford Mondeo estate suffered a smashed nearside front window after it was struck by a brick.

On the same day, but between 7am and 8am, a black Renault Clio suffered similar damage after a brick was thrown at the front nearside window.

On March 4, between 1.30am and 2am, the same silver Ford Mondeo estate car was set alight in what police suspect was an arson attack.

It is hoped the man shown – holding an object in his right hand and apparently approaching the black Renault Clio – can provide police with information which could lead them to the perpetrator of the criminal damage.

If you recognise him call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference ED/13/1284 for the March 4 arson incident, ED/13/1283 for first March 1 criminal damage incident or ED/13/1285 for the second March 1 criminal damage incident.

“Tell the police and if it gets as far as a court case ( costing the taxpayers thousands ) this charming fellow will probably only be fined. No doubt he will plead some form of stressful incident in the past has caused him to act completely out of character.”

“I know they have to be careful with pending cases but the wording of this is silly. "Man caught on CCTV ideally placed to assist Plymouth police in catching suspected vandal" and then you show three photos of the man throwing a brick through a car window.”
