Man charged with gunpoint robbery at bookmakers appears in court
A MAN charged with robbing a member of staff at a bookmakers at gunpoint has appeared at court.
Leonard Yearde, 21, allegedly robbed a man at the Betfred Bookmakers in Henderson Place, Ford, at around 9pm on November 9.
Yearde, of Zion Road, Croydon, was later charged by police of robbing Michael Shaw of £154.
He is also accused of possession of an imitation firearm during the incident.

Yearde is finally charged with possession of crack cocaine, a Class A drug, with intent to supply on the same date.
It is understood he was arrested by police later the same night following a stop check of a vehicle by officers in Holdsworth Street.
No pleas were indicated.
Yearde was remanded in custody until February 18 next year, when he is expected to enter pleas.
