Man left temporarily deaf by nightclub attack

A man was left seriously injured and temporarily deaf after being punched from behind in a Plymouth nightclub.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack in the Disco Room at Oceana, Coxside.

The incident took place at 2.40am on Sunday 7 October.

A a young man was punched from behind, causing temporary hearing loss.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for a serious injury.

A police spokesman said, “This was a cowardly assault. There were a number of people in the vicinity at the time of the incident and I would urge them to contact us if they saw the incident or have any information about the assault.”
