Plymouth man with mystery head injury in hospital
A MAN remains in hospital with a bleed on the brain after he was mysteriously injured during a night out.
Plymouth police are appealing for information after a 48-year-old was admitted to hospital with a serious fracture to the skull on Sunday September 2.
The man left The Eagle public house in Cornwall Street at about 8pm and when he returned around an hour later he was found to have a severe injury to the right side of his head, police said.
He was taken to Derriford Hospital where police said he remains in a stable condition.
DC Kev Mortimore said: "Police are trying to piece together his movements from the time he left The Eagle and request that anybody who may have witnessed the incident that caused this injury, to contact police."
He said at this time police could not confirm that an assault actually took place, but he believed the incident happened in the city centre sometime between 8pm and 9pm.
