POLICE are hunting a man who spent 30 minutes with his hands down his trousers while staring at a girl at Plymouth bus stop.

On Saturday, March 6, between 2pm and 2.30pm a 14 year girl was sitting at a bus stop on Royal Parade with her younger friend.

A man has approached and stood next to her with his hands down his trousers whilst staring at the young girl.

She was very disturbed by this and turned away, however the man continued to move so he was in her eye line of sight.

This continued for about 30 minutes until her bus arrived.

When she got onto the bus the man then approached the window looked at her, and gestured to her.

It is believed that other people were at the bus stop. Police would like to speak to anyone who witnesses the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0800 555111 quoting police ref. EC/10/2649.

The suspect is described as a white male aged 50 to 60 years, reasonably tall and fat with  short grey hair dark blue tracksuit bottoms with white stripes white trainers. He wore a long black coat with gold buttons.

“First of all as it states in the report there were other people at the bus stop did anyone not think to stop the guy or even say something. If the girl turned away and he continued shouldnt the best course of action to be contact the police then and there or walk away? Seems very strange how people just stood there and let it happen.”

“If this really happened then why didn't other witnesses report it or the girls run away from him? is this just another attention seeking thing, waisting police time at tax payers expense. Its not April 1st yet and we all know Royal Parade is buzzing on saturdays....you don't fool me.If the police believe it why has it taken 10 days to get to the papers?”
