UPDATE: Man in critical condition after being found beside A38 in Plymouth
A man who was found "dazed and confused" beside the A38 in Plymouth is said to be in a critical condition.
Police say a motorist driving towards Saltash spotted a male beside the A38 at 5:15am today.

Officers arrived to find a man injured under Manadon flyover on the westbound carriageway.
At first police thought he may have been hit by a car, but this was not the case.

A police spokesman said: "A 35-year-old man was found dazed and confused after appearing to have jumped off the Manadon flyover.
"He is suffering from serious injuries and was rushed to Derriford Hospital by ambulance. He is now in a critical condition"
He is said to have suffered a broken leg and other internal injuries.
The A38 was not closed and traffic continued as normal, say police.
The man, who is from Plymouth, is being detained by staff at Derriford Hospital.
