Man set upon by six muggers
POLICE are appealing for information after a man was beaten up and robbed by a gang in an alley.
Investigating officer Dc Sarah Lovatt said the 19-year-old victim was walking alone along Embankment Road and turned into Tintern Avenue by the Co-op store.

She said: "He was set upon by six young males who pushed him to the ground, punched and kicked him, and stole £85 in cash from him."
She said the victim was left with cuts and bruises to his face and sore ribs.
The only description the man was able to give of his attackers was that they were young white men aged about 18 or 19, and were wearing hoodies with their hoods up.
Dc Lovatt said: "If people are aware of a group of six who are going around doing this sort of thing they can phone Crimestoppers anonymously and let us know."
The incident happened shortly after midnight, between Friday January 22 and Saturday 23.

“So why haven't the residents been made aware of this. I live the park end and have heard nothing about this. I hope the victim is ok. So if they find out who did it all they will get is a slap across the wrists - what a deterant!!!!”
