Bailey admitted dishonestly supplying the same officer with a stone first, while claiming it was in fact crack cocaine.
He also admitted the same offence relating to caffeine which he said was heroin three days later.
Ali Rafati, for Bailey, said he was working with the drugs counselling service Harbour.
Judge Paul Darlow ordered a probation officer to prepare a report into his background.
Bailey was released on conditional bail to appear for sentence at the court on October 22.
