A YOUNG man staying at the Wilder Park Project in Ilfracombe has been tested for swine flu.

A spokeswoman for the project, which provides short-term, supervised accommodation for young people in Wilder Road, said a doctor had taken a swab for testing from the man. It is believed that everyone at the project is routinely tested and the swabs were taken after the young man showed flu-like symptoms, "just as a precaution."

Results are expected in a couple of days.

“Why hasn't the government enforced a quarantine of the country if only for 5 days? This would allow any cases to be contained and for anyone with it to be treated.
Granted people could still bring it back into the country but at least it would help curb community acquired infections”
