Manager John Sheridan targets new loan striker for Plymouth Argyle
MANAGER John Sheridan wants to add another striker to his squad at Plymouth Argyle.
Goalscoring continues to be a problem for the relegation-threatened Pilgrims and Sheridan is ready to take action.

Argyle manager John Sheridan knows his side need to score more goals
He does not believe a signing will be made before the visit of play-off hopefuls Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
However, it is a priority for Sheridan to add another striker to the ranks as Argyle seek the goals, and points, they need to stay up.

Sheridan told Herald Sport today: "I have been trying for an experienced striker since I have come here.
"But, as I have said before, I have found it difficult. I will just get someone who I think is going to help us and score goals, whether he's 19, 25 or 30.
"I think Saturday's game will be too soon, but I'm looking, trying and asking at this moment in time."
Defender Anthony Charles is 50-50 for the game against eighth-placed Fleetwood because of a groin injury.
He was ruled out of the 0-0 draw with Bradford City at Home Park on Tuesday night.

“The last roll of the dice - as others have said there surely has to be a loan player available who is better than Reid!!”

“its all down to John Sheridan, hes not seeing he whole picture , we were ok before he came , addmittedly we did not score the goals with Flecther, but the lads were ok.
now over half of the team as been changed !! do we see a big improvement ?? not realy .
the striker that we had last year was in fact ready to come to Argyle was Macca .
that guy played his socks off everytime he was on the pitch .
that little bundle of power could well have took us out of the bottom of the tables .
!! but what do i know , im only a fan who wants our team to win. COYGs”

“Sorry to say but your season is over. Blue Square it is. It is a shame that you will drop out the league. Having said that, It is easy to point the finger at certain players, individuals for not doing their stuff, but at the end of the day, it is all to blame. it is a team sport. If you want to win, you will. Put in a medium effort, medium payout. Best thing Plymouth can do is scrap the club and start again and re-build. You will always be in my thoughts as i have won a lot of money off your results!!!!!!

“For me it's Reid who has got to go. Overweight, unfit, can't run, can't score and doesn't shot. Does that sound like a goal scorer to you?? It's no wonder Yeovil said we could borrow him
Please JS get rid of him now, no good. 9 games, no goals, not exactly going to win the Golden Boot Award is he”

“Unfortunately we are going nowhere until we get a owner who is prepared to invest money in the club to BUY players. You can not build a successful team using loan players.”
