AS A berth holder at Mayflower Marina, may we say how thoroughly deserved the Five Star Gold Anchor Award is (The Herald, Saturday).

Charles and his team do a fantastic job and nothing is too much trouble for them, which is greatly appreciated by all boaters.

This is the second year that we have berthed our cabin cruiser, Dusky Lady, at the Marina and we would never think of moving because it is such a friendly community here with great facilities and lots of friendly advice when needed.

We would also like to say a big thank you to Phil and Andy of West Country Yachts, who are based at the Marina, for the great work they have been doing in restoring Dusky Lady ready for the season.

They are a great advertisement for the local marine engineering services that Plymouth provides for the boating fraternity and the local economy.
