PLYMOUTH Marjon couldn't have it harder in Division Two of the EBL this weekend.

Coach George Hatchell's 2-10 team entertain 10-2 Brixton at Marjons in the league tomorrow (2pm).

Brixton are second in the standings to 10-2 Durham, who Marjon visit in the league cup semi-finals on Sunday (3pm).

Division Two rivals Westminster and Mansfield meet in Sunday's second semi-final.

Marjon are being led this season by guard/forward Saul Rodgers, who is averaging 21.6 points per game.

Forward Matt Peard is also having a good year and leading Marjon in rebounds (9.4 per game) and assists (5.3 per game).

Marjon were competitive for 30 minutes in a disappointing 95-87 defeat at 1-8 University of Birmingham last weekend. But they were decisively outscored 26-14 in the contest's second quarter and never recovered.

Guard Adam Hatchell led Marjon with 17 points supported by 16 points from Peard and 15 from guard Mark Gillbard.

Brixton have won their last three contests and are coming off a narrow 75-72 home victory over 8-3 promotion rivals Westminster.

Brixton rallied and outscored Westminster 22-16 in the final frame.

Marjon have already visited Brixton this season on November 22 and left following an emphatic 38 point, 107-71 loss.

Marjon were well in it at half-time and trailed by six, 44-38 before Brixton took over in the third which they controlled 39-11.

Durham are on a four-game winning streak and last time out dominated visitors Glyndwr 100-70.

Marjon visited Durham in the league on January 17 and fell heavily by 34 points, 109-75.

Durham led by eight, 30-22 after the opening period before pulling clear for good after routing Marjon 32-14 in the second.

Marjon's women visit 7-2 leaders Bristol Storm in Division Two of the Women's EBL tomorrow (5pm).

Marjon lost by 29 points, 80-51 at home to 5-2 UWIC II last weekend and are 0-6.

Storm rotate around Emilie Ravn, who is averaging 18.4 points and 9.0 rebounds per game this season.

ADMISSION to Marjons tomorrow is priced £4 for adults, £2 concessions and £10 for a family of four (two adults and two children).
