Milestone reached at £20million student flats development
BUILDERS will celebrate a milestone in work on a £20million block of student flats this week.
The former Naafi building on Hoe Street in Plymouth will be home to more than 500 students from September.

Student accommodation takes shape at the former NAAFI site in Notte Street
Completion of the main structure will be marked on Thursday by a topping out ceremony.
The building, which will be known as Astor House, is in three accommodation blocks on the 1.2-acre site.

Knightsbridge Student Housing Limited bought the land from Plymouth University for £3.5million.
The Student Housing Company has planning permission for ground floor shops and restaurants and is in talks with potential commercial operators. The space could be filled by a supermarket.
The block will also feature storage space for bicycles and even surfboards, will have internet connection and on-site, 24-hour security.
