"We wanted to promote our B&B, but also support other businesses in the area."

Tonight's episode features a hotel in Liverpool. Millbrook stars tomorrow, followed by Somerset, and Suffolk, as the four pairs of B&B owners take it in turns as hosts, in a contest to decide which of their establishments provides the best value for money.

During tomorrow's 5pm programme, Ms Edgcumbe reveals she is actually Lady Edgcumbe. Her father Robert Edgcumbe became the eighth Earl of Edgcumbe in 1982.

Mr Stanley added: "We really enjoyed going on the programme, and it took two weeks to film and was absolutely brilliant.

"When the other couples came to Cornwall they travelled to the historic Edgcumbe estate where we reveal Megan's secret as Lady Edgcumbe."

“I lived in the former winter Villa of Lady Edgcumbe. situated at Devils point . Better known as Nazareth House. She sold it to the Sisters of Charity in a peppercorn sale in 1932. It is now a residential/ nursing home, recently rebuilt again because of asbestos insitu, when rebuilt in the early seventies. Maybe I should write a story, into a television play. Uhhmm.”
