Miss England 2012: Plymouth's Charlotte Holmes
Plymouth beauty and reality TV star Charlotte Holmes has been crowned Miss England.
Charlotte, 23, fought off competition from 59 other finalists, in a contest which saw her awarded the winning trophy at the Athena in Leicester.
Charlotte’s modelling career took off when she won the Face of Plymouth competition in 2007, beating more than 300 entrants.
She went on to win Miss Cornwall in 2009, and was the same year crowned Miss Cornwall Charity, as she managed to raise £1,100 for Cornish charity TUKAE, which works to alleviate poverty in Tanzania. Her charity work also earned her the title of Miss England Charity Queen in 2009.

And Charlotte continues to fundraise – she runs the Race for Life every year, pulling in more than £1,500 for Breast Cancer Research.
Charlotte was also named Miss Modelesque by the Fresh Photographic academy, and in 2010 she took home the Miss Guilford title.
She shot to national fame when she starred in TV show Britain’s Next Top Model in 2010, where she came fourth and was supermodel Elle Macpherson’s favourite to win. Her time on the show earned her interviews with fashion magazine Grazia and Superstarmagazine.com.
But Charlotte has brains as well as beauty – she has 10 GCSEs grade A*-C, three A-Levels in French, Biology and General Studies, and passed an AS Level in Chemistry.
She has passed a number of RYA levels in sailing, and can speak conversational French confidently.
Charlotte is currently signed with MOT Models, a leading London model agency.
