Missing cat Chloe tracked down at the pub
A CAT that went missing for more than four months has been reunited with her owner – after wandering to a pub six miles away.
Chloe, an 18-month-old Bengal, vanished after her owners Kate and Gary Steele moved house from Stoke to Hooe.
But after weeks and weeks on the run, having made some friends along the way, Chloe was returned to a "delighted" Kate on Monday.
When the young cat went missing on May 7, Kate, who is medically retired, placed an advert in the Herald and plastered posters around the nearby area in a bid to find her beloved moggy.

"After we had moved, she unfortunately went missing. I was sure she would just have been around the garden somewhere, but she didn't come back," the 51-year-old explained. "We had lots of response to the adverts and every one of them I followed up and I was really hoping it was Chloe but it wasn't."
Kate was put in touch with the Cats Protection League who said they would do what they could to find her.
Meanwhile, adventurous Chloe had been living in Yealmpton and had become a regular at the Rose and Crown Pub, waiting by the bins for scraps to keep her going.
After staff at the pub realised she wasn't a "farm cat" they made contact with the RSPCA to no avail and then the Cats Protection League who agreed to set a trap and catch her.
Kate had been on a weekend break with her husband in Somerset when she received a call to say they thought they had found Chloe.
After checking her micro chip, the CPL confirmed it was Chloe.
"It's like a dream, I really am over the moon. I can't thank the staff at the Rose and Crown enough and the Cats Protection League for all they have done. I'm delighted."
Chloe is now back at home and under close watch to prevent her hatching an escape plan again.
