DINERS at a Plymouth restaurant have had a unique experience as part of a series of musical galas.

The University of Plymouth music department collaborated with the restaurant for four evenings of culinary excellence and sensational live music at the Glassblowing House.

Four live acts are scheduled to perform throughout the evenings playing jazz and blues sets.

It is hosted by the Head of Plymouth's music department, Lee Whittock.

Managing Director of the Glassblowing House, Ed Steven, said: "Giving young, talented musicians the opportunity to perform in a live setting benefits them enormously – and gives our diners a sensational evening at a fraction of the price one would normally expect to pay."

The music gala evenings will run four times until the end of February 2012. Tickets are available from the Glassblowing House restaurant.
