While Mr Keech had no recollection of how he came by his injuries, police found his wallet and its contents intact – and nothing missing from his home.
Keech had been in the Jubilee Inn public house in Fore Street up until 7pm on October 3. Sadly, he passed away in Derriford Hospital on October 13. No post mortem has been carried out and police have not revealed a cause of death.
A police spokesman said: "We need to find out his movements, where he's been and who he's spoken to."
Mr Keech had grey hair and a grey beard and was wearing a green jacket.
