PLYMOUTH Argyle are set to have defenders Onismor Bhasera and Bondz N'Gala both available for the visit of Bristol City to Home Park tomorrow.

Bhasera, a Zimbabwe international left-back, has signed a contract with the Pilgrims until the summer of 2012.

It comes after Argyle made a successful appeal to an independent tribunal that the 23-year-old should be allowed a UK work permit.

Bhasera has been training with the Pilgrims for the past month, after severing his ties with his former club, top South African side Kaiser Chiefs.

The left-back is now completing all of the requirements to secure a visa to stay in this country.

Meanwhile, N'Gala's delayed loan signing from West Ham United should be completed before the game against Bristol City.

Head coach Paul Mariner had hoped he would be able to call upon the 20-year-old for the 1-1 draw away to Coventry City on Saturday.

In the event, N'Gala was at the Ricoh Arena, but he had to watch the action, not take part in it.

The West Ham academy graduate travelled back to Plymouth on the team coach after the game against Coventry.

And, should all go according to plan, he, too, will be available for the visit of Bristol City.

Mariner will be desperate for Bhasera and N'Gala to be eligible to play in that match, after injuries to defenders Richard Eckersley and Gary Sawyer against Coventry.

Eckersley, the loan signing from Burnley, suffered a groin injury and had to be substituted in the 57th minute.

The 20-year-old had been playing at left-back, and was replaced in a straight swap by Sawyer.

However, Sawyer was also hurt in the closing stages of the contest, although he remained on the pitch.

Mariner said: "Richard Eckersley came off with a groin injury. I hope we caught it fast enough, but I'm guessing he's struggling for Tuesday.

"Gary Sawyer has taken a hell of a clattering on his shin, so that's probably bone bruising. That can be very sore."

Mariner has been keen on signing N'Gala ever since the 6ft centre-back trained with Argyle for a week last month.

"He hasn't signed yet, but he was here today," said Mariner.

"I have got to speak to the football secretary (Carole Rowntree) but I think everything is clear with West Ham.

"Hopefully, he will be training tomorrow (Sunday) or, if not tomorrow, Monday."

Asked about the hold-up in signing N'Gala, Mariner said: "It has just got dragged out for various reasons. There is nothing to worry about.

"We are also hopeful Bas (Bhasera) will be available for selection on Tuesday."

As Bhasera was a free agent, Argyle have been able to sign him outside the transfer window.

Mariner has another trialist at Home Park, but is declining to reveal his identity.

"Why am I not telling you his name? Because somebody will come and nick him," he said.

Winger Craig Noone should also be fit for the clash against Bristol City tomorrow.

The 22-year-old had to sit it out for a second successive match because of an ankle injury.

Noone was hurt near the end of the Pilgrims' 1-1 draw with Preston North End at Home Park the previous Saturday.

Mariner said: "Nooney actually took a harder knock than we thought and he didn't train all week.

"He wasn't quite right, but he will be back in full training tomorrow."

    “Cooperman, Plymuff

The fat lady has already sung and is still singing.

Accept it - we are down.

A 10 - 0 win tomorrow, 3 points and 25000 crowd cannot keep us in this league. It is damage limitation only - the main defences have been well and truly breached.

I Predict 2 wins and 2 draws out of the remaining 11. Now then, let's see if I can be proven well and truly wrong and I sure as hell will stop singing!!!

La di da, la di da”

    “DUNCAN

I have had the misfortune of having to work in Leicester, following this i would not advise anyone moving there even if they were moving from Mumbai (actually that has mostly already happened!).

Why do you have this wierd obsession with Plymouth? Is it some kind of Freudian jealousy being displayed as animosity? You really are an odd bloke.”

“Granted that you currently have a better team and stadium than Plymouth, but frankly too many people have "emigrated" to Leicester and that's the reason why it is a dump.”
