Navy will be showcased at boat event
THE Royal Navy is set to be a major attraction at the upcoming London Boat Show.
The show, being held at the ExCel exhibition centre, will feature South West Navy units from this weekend right through until January 20. Visitors to the show will be able to learn more about naval life.
The show will also provide the opportunity to take a closer look at on Offshore Raiding Craft as well as a search and rescue Mark 5 Sea King helicopter, which will take to the skies outside of the exhibition to perform a simulated rescue operation around the dock.
Members of the search and rescue team will also be manning a stall and taking questions about the service and the role of the Royal Navy.
