"There were no other injuries."
Restaurant manager David Pover said: "One of the small ovens at the side of the kitchen smoked quite heavily so we evacuated the restaurant and called the fire service."
The £1.5million waterside restaurant opened on January 23, with a glitzy VIP event attracting some of the city's most recognisable faces.
It is celebrity chef Gary Rhodes' only venue outside London, although he is not a regular in the kitchen himself.
The prominent building, with stunning views, had sat empty since 2006, when the Plymouth Dome visitor centre shut its doors for the final time.

“MissAnthrope
A little bit of transparency wouldn't go amiss!
Yes you did have bubbly but carbonated water just doesn't do it!
Meat and 2 veg can't be considered as 3 courses!
Rumour has it that you actually asked for 'Sunny D' as it was your favourite only to be told it hasn't been sold for years and your second choice 'Kiora' wasn't available!
I also know from a reliable source that you did ask to wash up after your meal!!
Umm, thoughtfulness or cheapskate!!”

“Having read the menu this restaurant is clearly catering for the upper end of the market especially gven the price of some of the meals. Not quite London prices but they are still on the steep side.”

“Oh but I did. Cash in hand is better than minimum wage. As the leper said to the prostitute, you can keep the tip.”

“Miss Anthrope
You did not leave a £30 tip, just a dirty table!
Your cross dressing fooled no one and the facial stubble was a giveaway.
Trying to impress Gary wont work, there are agencies your type.”
