CRICKET: Former Cornwood paceman Aizaz Cheema made the most of his Pakistan call-up, claiming an early wicket to leave England facing an uphill battle to save the first Test match in Dubai.

The 32-year-old Cheema, who spent four summers at the Devon Cricket League outfit, took the scalp of England batsman Jonathan Trott for just 17 runs yesterday.

Cheema returned figures of one for 43, but it was off-spinner Saeed Ajmal with a career-best seven for 55 who starred with the ball as England struggled to 192 all out on day one.

A gutsy and disciplined 70 from Matt Prior, combined with a hard-won 24 from Eoin Morgan gave England a reasonably respectable total to defend.
