EXPECT all manner of mayhem when Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Gus G and his band Firewind arrive at the White Rabbit, Bretonside Bus Station for the final show in the UK leg of their world tour.

The revered award-winning guitarist has spent the past three years globe-trotting as Ozzy's right-hand man and as frontman for his own band Firewind at countless more rock fests.

Firewind will be parading tracks from their latest offering, Few Against Many, which recently knocked Justin Bieber of the top of the charts in their native Greece, making them the first Greek metal band ever to get to No 1.

Firewind were formed in Thessaloniki in 1998, albums Allegiance and follow up The Premonition making it to the top ten in their homeland with single Mercenary Man becoming a top 5 hit.

Despite Firewind's success, Gus has always been ready to expand his horizons and when Arch Enemy needed a temporary tour guitarist, he was first in line. It was on Arch Enemy's 2005 Ozzfest that he caught the attention of the Ozzcamp, though it wasn't until four years later that Gus was invited to audition to perform with the band at Blizzcon 2009.

He impressed by ripping through Ozzy classics Crazy Train, Bark at the Moon and Mr Crowley, and went on to tour the world as Ozzy's new lead guitarist.

Earlier this year Gus won the award for Best Shredder at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards ceremony in London, so budding guitarists and metal fans alike won't want to miss the opportunity of seeing the great muso live in the relatively intimate space of the White Rabbit.

What's more there's an incentive to buying a ticket for the show.

Gus G in conjunction with ESP guitars is offering one would-be metal guitarist the chance to move one step closer to their dream by giving away one of own guitars to one lucky fan.

Tickets are available from www.ticketweb.co.uk.
