Paul Carey, the managing director of MVV Environment Devonport Ltd, has taken your questions in a two-hour live debate.
The company is building an incinerator inside the old Plymouth dockyard North Yard to burn waste from across the region.
The controversial scheme made it through planning last year and work has now begun on building the plant, with a view to operating from next year.
