Pedestrian in hospital after collision with car in Plymouth
A PEDESTRIAN is in hospital following an early-hours collision with a car in Plymouth’s Barbican.
The man suffered serious injuries to his abdomen, head and shoulder in the smash in Notte Street, said police.

Paramedics and police were called the scene shortly after midnight as revellers filled nearby pubs, bars and nightclubs.
A force spokesman said it appeared a blue Ford Focus Saloon had been involved in the incident.

Officers closed Princess Street and Athenaeum Street as an ambulance raced to the scene.
The man’s family was by his bedside at Derriford Hospital by 2am.
The police spokesman described the man’s injuries as “serious”, but said they were not life-threatening or life-changing.
Anybody who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting log number 10 of July 1.

“Taking into consideration the time this occured a fair assumption would be the pedestrian was zig zagging there way due to some happy juice being drunk and could have steped in front of the vehicle. I hope both pedestrian and driver are OK. A bit of a non story truth be told”
