ESCORTING our team of beautiful entrants to the grand final on Friday was another well known city favourite.

Plymouth Discovery Tours and their retro-looking Leyland Leopard coach transported the 20 finalists from their rehearsals to the Plymouth Pavilions stage in style.

"The choreographer gave us a disk of music and we had it blasted out all the way," said Lorna Pearce, director of Plymouth Discovery Tours who has been running historical bus tours throughout the city for the past two years.

"We have lots of facts about Plymouth written on the bus so it was really nice to have the Face of Plymouth on there to see it," she said.

Mrs Pearce, who runs the company with her husband and fellow director Graham, who also drives the bus, said it was great to have a young group of people on the bus enjoying the ride.

And the journey helped to stave off grand final nerves for our gorgeous guys and girls.

"They were all trying to be cool but I think they were nervous," said Mrs Pearce.

"They really enjoyed the bus ride."
