WESTERN College Players celebrated their 80th anniversary with an evening at the city's Astor Hotel. Friends and members past and present supported the celebration, which raised £117 for Children In Need.

The Players' next production is C S Lewis' magical children's favourite, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The show will be staged in the Drum from January 19-23. To book, call the Theatre Royal box office on 01752 267222.
