PLYMOUTH Albion coach Nat Saumi says his team are refreshed and ready to go again after a week off.

The Championship took a break last weekend so that a representative side could play the Maori All Blacks.

Albion only had hooker Jon Vickers involved in that match, so the rest of the players were able to recharge their batteries after 10 league and two cup matches in a row.

Saumi's team ended a run of five consecutive defeats in their last match when they beat London Scottish 24-20 at Brickfields.

The Albion boss is hoping his team can continue their winning ways on Saturday when they entertain Bristol at Brickfields.

Saumi said: "I did give the boys three days off last week, so that they would come back fresh.

"Everyone has come back and the fitness tests they did were very good and they are looking forward to this weekend."

Albion have also welcomed back their dual registered players from Exeter Chiefs this week after a fortnight back at their parent club.

Henry Slade, Jack Arnott and Luke Cowan-Dickie all featured for the Chiefs in their LV=Cup wins over London Welsh and the Ospreys.

Saumi believes those players will be returning with greater confidence after impressing for the Chiefs.

"I hope so, they should be," he said.

"They have done well in the LV=Cup.

"They have had two wins.

"They were with us and they were losing all those games, but they went back and won two games, whereas we won one, so everyone is on a winning mode now."

He added: "They started training again on Tuesday and it is good to have them back again.

"They are all available this week, but it depends on selections."
