Plymouth Argyle earn precious point at AFC Wimbledon
PLYMOUTH Argyle threw themselves a vital League Two lifeline with a battling 1-1 draw at fellow strugglers AFC Wimbledon last night.
Argyle remain at the bottom of the division and are now three points from safety, but they have dragged the Dons into the bottom two relegation places.
A superb 26th-minute strike by on-loan Crystal Palace winger Jason Banton – his third for Argyle – gave the visitors hopes of returning to Plymouth with all three points.
But within a minute, Wimbledon had levelled through Harry Pell to deflate the fantastic turn-out of the 829 travelling Green Army who made the trip to Kingsmeadow.

Argyle rode their luck and fought like tigers to hold onto the precious point with a resolute second-half defensive display.
The hard-earned point will have given the Argyle squad a lift ahead of Saturday's next six-pointer at home to improving Barnet.
The Bees did their survival hopes a power of good beating Paul Sturrock's play-off hopefuls Southend 2-0, while Accrington won 3-0 away to Rochdale.
