Argyle are in 20th position in the League Two table, only two points clear of the relegation zone, so there is a lot at stake for them.
Sheridan said: "I think it's going to go right to the wire. I really do. Teams are going to get drawn into it, hopefully.

"We are going to lose some games, but we are going alright at the moment.
"We have just got to keep picking points up from games and then everything will take care of itself.
"I have got a points tally in my head which I think will see us safe.
"I have also got a points tally which I would like to get from each month.
"I'm not going to say what they are. It might be the kiss of death."
Sheridan confirmed goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin (hamstring) and defender Curtis Nelson (groin) are still ruled out by their injuries.

“John Sheridan is likely to be proved abolutely correct but at least, with his positive attitude and refreshing honesty, we stand a really good chance of cheating the gallows. This is the first time I have felt reasonably positive about the situation at Argyle for some time now.
Spare thought for Preston NE fans- the curse of Ridsdale has almost destoyed them too- his latest brilliant appointee, Graham Westley, has just been sacked by the owner- not dissimilar to the Carl Fetcher debacle.
Ridsdale has been disqualified from acting as a company director until 2020- just wish the football authorities would ban him from any involvement with any professional football club at whatever level. The man has arguably wreaked absolute havoc and mayhem on Leeds Utd, Barnsley, Cardiff, Argyle and now Preston- but in the process managed to extract, by way of salary and fees, rewards that the average working person can only envy.
Hopefully Trevor Hemmings, Preston's owner will see the folly of his ways and shunt Ridsdale off to a long overdue appointment with Job Centre Plus.”
