Plymouth Argyle's Carl Fletcher 'driven to succeed as a manager'
PLYMOUTH Argyle's Carl Fletcher is 'very driven to succeed' as a manager, according to the club's first team coach, Kevin Nancekivell.
Fletcher, 32, is preparing for his first full season as the Pilgrims' boss, after leading them to Football League safety last term.

He and his backroom staff of Romain Larrieu and Nancekivell all signed one-year rolling contracts in May to continue their rebuilding work at Home Park.
Nancekivell, 40, was appointed as first team coach by Fletcher last November.

He has been struck by the professionalism of the two-times former Argyle player-of-the-year.
Fletcher's public persona is of a serious, deep thinker, but Nancekivell insisted the former Wales midfielder was not always like that.
Nancekivell told Herald Sport: "He's very professional, and very driven to succeed – and I'm sure he will have a fantastic career in management.
"Off the pitch and away from football, he's a family man – he has got three little girls. He loves a laugh and he's a different person to some degree. But football does take you over. I think we are all obsessed with it, and it's a job to get away from that.
"When you are that driven, and that intent on producing success, it's difficult to flip from one to the other, just like that."
Nancekivell added: "He's very popular with the lads in the changing room, and he's a different character than probably the public see."
Prior to being appointed as first team coach, Nancekivell had worked within the youth set-up at Home Park.
Several of Argyle's senior squad for next season have come through the ranks so Nancekivell knows them well.
They include five rookie professionals – Jordan Copp, Jed Harper-Penman, Matt Lecointe, Jared Sims and Isaac Vassell.
Nancekivell said: "We are aware of their good habits and bad habits.
"You want them to succeed, but they have got to step up to the mark and prove they are worth a starting shirt or appearances off the bench."
PLYMOUTH Argyle's two home Devon derbies in League Two next season have been made 1pm kick-offs.
The Pilgrims will meet Torquay United on Boxing Day and Exeter City on Easter Saturday, March 30.
It is the first time since the 2001/02 season that all three of Devon's professional football teams have been in the same division.
Argyle's away league game against Bristol Rovers on January 1 has also been made a 1pm kick-off.
