Plymouth Argyle to sign defender Zubar before deadline if they get clearance
ARGYLE are set to sign French defender Stephane Zubar before Tuesday's transfer window closes.
Stephane, 23, spent some time at Home Park during pre-season and featured in the Pilgrims' friendly at Queens Park Rangers.

The Guadeloupe-born player - a full-back or centre-back - played for Romanian side SC Vaslui last season, helping them to a Europa Cup-qualifying third-placed league finish and to the domestic cup final.
He started his career with French side SM Caen and has also played on loan for Pau FC and FC Brussels.
Zubar will sign for the Pilgrims before Tuesday's 6pm transfer-deadline cut-off, subject to the usual formalities being completed.
The deal will hinge on the Pilgrims being able to obtain international clearance for the player.

“Paul, Plymouth - with regard to Jocks, if you look on Argyles official website, PR says he has been trying to get a striker from Scotland, but he couldnt make it happen it time!!!
Think I agree with other posts. Whoever the striker might be, he needs service and having seen two games this season, Argyle arent creating much. Dont think there's any need to panic, its still early days. I think its a great pity that Bolasie has been injured as he looked very lively last season, so would probably do well in this league”

“Sky sports report we have signed Stephane Zubar on a rolling monthly contract.
They don't say anything about the striker(s) we so desperately need though!
Still a little under 2 hours to get a proven goal scorer. Has SRG's private jet gone to get Le Fondre??”

“Well said Paul! Them all bleddy rubbish up there and we don't want them at Home Park. Maclean, Gow, Paterson - the list of dross signed from jock land is endless.”

“A decent looking signing for the troublesome right-back berth. Karl Duguid isn't really up to it (he never has been in my opinion despite being a trier). However, it's a striker we really need.”

“What we actually need to get rid of is the fringe players. We have too many people on the sidelines who aren't up to the standard required. I''m sure that players like BWP and Maclean would put the ball in the net with decent service but on Saturday no-one got passed the Peterborough full backs to get decent crosses into the box. Rory Patterson looked completely out of his depth & Mason was poor by his own standards. Its obvious to me at least that until we have some pace in midfield the best strikers in the world wouldn't score for Argyle.”

“We also need a central midfielder who can create chances and score goals. Fletcher, Peterlin, Parrett, Summerfield, Clarke and co are not gonna create numerous chances.”
