Plymouth Argyle striker Feeney out for up to two months
PLYMOUTH Argyle striker Warren Feeney is facing up to two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Feeney suffered the injury in the opening minutes of Argyle's 2-1 win over Morecambe at the weekend.

New Pilgrims manager John Sheridan though admitted the news was better than they first feared.
He said: "It's looking as though he may miss six to eight weeks when we thought he might be out for the season.

“@eddie_taylor. Thought so. Also agree Sheridan has a new deck and can perhaps conjure up a winning combination using some of the others. Be great to get a result against Luggy.”

“@ The Mercenary, yes there was a element of tongue in cheek about my first comment and whilst I wouldn't wish upon any player what has happened to Fenney; it may be a blessing in disguise that both him (Fenney) and Chadwick are out of contention; forcing John Sheridan hand to play with a new deck.
We must trust in JS and hope that he gets it right on the day, his future and ours are firmly in his hands at the moment.”

“Just an idea. How about each goalmouth has a sheet of unbreakable glass the size of the goal, lying behind the goal line in the netting area. After the toss of the coin and we know which way we're playing, the sheet of glass could be hastily erected between our posts. At half time remove that one (not really necessary I suppose) and repeat the process at the other end. This will guarantee 23 points a season via goal-less draws. Had sleepless nights thinking of ways to save my club. This could be it.”

“Even if Sheridan had toyed with the idea of how best to play Feeney (and Chadwick?), decisions have been made for him by injury and suspension. He has to find a regular scorer either by bringing in somebody new or re-assessing how to deploy the forwards we already have.”

“Although I am certainly no fan of Feeney I feel sorry for any player who gets a nasty injury like this. In all honesty though I dont think a fit Feeney would help our cause one iota and again in all honesty if I was told one Argyle player had to be out for 2 months and I could choose who, I would have picked him - sorry Warren. We desperately need two new strikers - OK I would settle for one.”

“@eddie_taylor. I hope most of what have said is tongue in cheek. Chadwick and Feeney dynamic duo? Life never dull for Argyle supporters? We are far from smiling. Suicidal would be nearer the mark. What Mr Sheridan and most of us are praying for, is a miracle.”

“Shame, give him some books to read about how to play football, after 8 weeks it may sink in.”
