Plymouth Argyle too strong for Nike Academy
PLYMOUTH Argyle's 'second' team blew away a team from Nike Academy in a friendly match at Home Park today.
The Academy, based at Loughborough University and consisting of players who have not yet found a league club, barely had a shot on target throughout the match and were beaten 7-0 by an experienced Argyle side.

Andres Gurrieri helped himself to a hat-trick and Rhys Griffiths to two goals as the Pilgrims dominated their visitors in all departments, leaving Greens' goal-keepers Jake Cole and, in the second half, Ollie Chenoweth, virtual spectators.
New Argyle boss John Sheridan, who was casting his eye over some of the players he hasn't had a chance to see yet, said he was pleased with the performance, although he added: "I would have preferred a sterner test, to be honest."

“Hopefully. John Sheridan can use this insight for way to play the team for staying in the league”
