Junior assistant, Heidi Wilkinson, said: "We ended up closing the restaurant for the evening. We lost an entire evening's trade."
A spokeswoman for WPD said: "We had an underground cable fault it affected 33 customers.
"It started in the afternoon at 3.38pm and we had some problems trying to locate the fault.
"Some customers may have gone back on for an hour but we had to take them off once we had located the fault in order to repair it. We had 22 customers back on at 9pm and the other 11 went on in the early hours of Sunday morning."
The cause is still not known.
