Plymouth Bike Nights gives proceeds to selected charities

The proceeds from the Plymouth Bike Nights were presented to the Help for Heroes and Afghan Heroes armed forces charities at an official ceremony at the PAFC Tribute Lounge.

Plymouth Bike Nights hold a series of events on held on the historical Plymouth Hoe Promenade, where motorcyclists pay a minimum donation of £1 to take part. The charities received a check for £1000 each.

    Deputy Lord Mayor Chaz Singh and Deputy Lady Mayoress Saranjit Singh, Clare Hutton from Help for Heroes and Kim Reeson from Afghan Heroes and volunteers from Plymouth Bike Nights at the ceremony.

The event marked an official end to a tumultuous 2012 for the Plymouth Bike Nights where a number of events were cancelled due to bad weather.

In attendance were the current Deputy Lord Mayor Chaz Singh and Deputy Lady Mayoress Saranjit Singh. Receiving the charity chequeswere Clare Hutton from Help for Heroes and Kim Reeson from Afghan Heroes.

Also in attending were some of the event sponsors which include Ocean BMW motorcycles, GT Motorcycles, Motorcycle Movements and the hard working Plymouth Bike Nights volunteer marshals from the Plymouth Motorcycle Club.

Plymouth Bike Nights are already busy preparing for the coming year, where they will return again to Plymouth Hoe Promenade twice a month during the summer months of May, June, July, August and September with the support of the local business traders and a live band at each event.

The provisional dates for next year's events are: May 2nd, May 23rd, June 6th, June 20th, July 4th, July 18th, August 1st, August 22nd, September 5th and September 19th.
